USAID helps 17 Ukrainian cities to conduct energy reforms

Support from U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for "Municipal Energy Reform"

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) started a “Municipal Energy Reform” project with the total costs of 13.5 million dollars. This project will help 17 Ukrainian cities to conduct energy reform and energy efficiency.

The project is designed to last for 4 years. USAID in cooperation with the participating cities expects to raise about $ 200 million for projects in the energy sector of the selected cities. It is expected that the implementation of these projects will reduce gas consumption by 270 million cubic meters.

17 Ukrainian cities were selected to participate in the project: Kyiv, Vinnytsya, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya , Ivano-Frankivsk, Kamyanetz -Podilsk, Kramatorsk , Krivyi Rig, Lutsk, Lviv, Pavlograd, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kherson, Khmelnitsky and Chernihiv.
