Ukraine will raise residential gas price by 40% on 1 May 2015

On 17 April 2014, the Ukrainian Government has published a resolution recommending the National Commission for Energy Regulation (NCER) to increase gas prices for households by 40% from 1 May 2015, then by 20% from 1 May 2016, and by another 20% on 1 May 2017.

Thus the overall price increase in the course of three years will equal to 101.6%.
These gas prices increases should come on top of the 50% price hike for households to occur on 1 May 2014.
