Serbia and Hyundai Partner for 1 GW Solar Project

Serbia's energy ministry and EPS have signed a contract with Hyundai Engineering and UGT Renewables to build solar plants with 1 GW connection capacity and 1.2 GW peak output.

The project, valued at approximately $1.5 billion, also includes battery storage of 200 MW and 400 MWh capacity. Located across six cities, this initiative supports Serbia’s green energy goals, with completion expected by 2028. The project will be backed by global entities like US Exim and MIGA, showcasing Serbia’s commitment to energy diversification and sustainability.
