OMV Petrom Advances Romania's Renewable Goals with Major Solar Acquisition

OMV Petrom, Southeastern Europe’s leading energy producer, recently completed a strategic acquisition with Jantzen Renewables, acquiring photovoltaic projects in Romania’s Teleorman County.

This investment brings 710 MW of solar energy potential and supports OMV Petrom’s goal of 2.5 GW in renewable capacity by 2030. With production starting by 2026, the project could supply 70% of Bucharest's household energy needs. Both OMV Petrom and Jantzen Renewables emphasize this milestone's role in Romania's green energy transition.
