Serbia adopts integrated national energy and climate plan up to 2030
By 2030, almost every second MWh of electricity is expected to be generated from clean sources. The government has adopted the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (INECP or NECP) for the period up to 2030, which includes a vision up to 2050. It marks a new phase in the development of the energy sector, aiming to increase security of supply, the share of clean energy sources and environmental protection. The Integrated Plan prioritizes investment in renewable energy sources, with around 3.5 GW of new solar and wind power to be connected to the grid by 2030.
