European Energy is in the process of obtaining grid connection authorizations for the remaining projects soon. The planned auction as part of the Romanian renewable energy support programme, which amounts to a total of five GW, will bring further wind and solar projects to fruition. By the end of 2023, Romania is expected to have a renewable energy capacity of 11.7 GW. Renewable energy as part of Romania's green transformation offers numerous benefits, including cleaner and cheaper electricity for consumers, higher tax revenues and new jobs.
