N. Macedonia achieved a 160 % increase in licenses for renewable energies in 2023

N. Macedonia issued licenses for the generation of electricity from renewable energy sources with a total installed capacity of almost 399 MW in 2023, which represents an increase of 160% compared to the previous year.

The renewable energy sources with a total installed capacity of 551.2 MW, from the years 2022 and 2023, are capable of supplying 175,500 households with electricity. North Macedonia's gross electricity production increased by 11.5% to 550,205 MWh in November 2023.
