Saxony and the Czech Republic aim to build a joint hydrogen infrastructure
Saxony and the Czech Republic have signed a declaration of intent for the further development of hydrogen technology, the construction of hydrogen infrastructure and its integration into the regional energy sector. The joint cross-border hydrogen network should enable cooperation and knowledge exchange between German and Czech research institutions and companies. This initiative underlines the importance of building a European network for the development of hydrogen infrastructure. The joint project aims to use existing infrastructure by convert the natural gas pipelines to transport hydrogen and thus enable a supply of hydrogen from Eastern and Southern Europe by 2029.
