Czech Republic records 970 MW of new solar energy in 2023
Compared to 2022, this means an increase of 145%, resulting in 49,000 new plants. In terms of capacity, the solar market in the Czech Republic grew by 681 MWp last year compared to 2022, representing 236%. Five times as many projects above 100 kWp were built, with 183 megawatts contributing to the total increase of energy production. The average size of the PV plant also increased from 8.6 kWp to 11.7 kWp. Twenty-five power plants with a capacity of more than 1 MWp were connected to the grid. Solar parks have also been increasing since 2011.
