EBRD lends €150 million to support Ukraine electricity supply
The loan complements a total package of EUR 520 million already provided by the EBRD since the start of the war last year. Around 50 percent of the Ukrainian power grid was damaged or completely destroyed by attacks last year. Ukrenergo is central to the functioning and further development of Ukraine's electricity infrastructure, including renewables, to supply electricity to the Ukrainian economy and households.
The EBRD is the largest institutional investor in Ukraine, working on projects and supporting Ukrainian institutions in their reforms. It focuses not only on energy security, but also on essential infrastructure, food security, trade and private sector support.
