Czech Republic support PV projects to reduce dependence on Russia
The Czech Republic has allocated CZK 4 billion (USD 177.1 million) to support PV projects up to 1 MW in size. The funds were taken from the country's National Economic Recovery Plan to reduce energy dependence on Russia, the government said in a statement.
A call for eligible projects will be issued on 22 March, and applications can be submitted until 30 June. Solar-plus-storage projects are also eligible to participate. The rebate for solar systems may not exceed 35 % and for a storage system 50 %.
For 2021, the Czech authorities have allocated CZK 4.5 billion for the rebate system. The country has also provided incentives for rooftop PV through a green savings program and for solar-plus-storage projects through a separate, dedicated program.
