Monitoring and combating energy poverty

The Director of the Energy Community Secretariat, Mr Artur Lorkowski, established the new Centre for Alleviating Energy Poverty in the Energy Community Contracting Parties.

It will collect data on the causes and impact of energy poverty and promote the development of appropriate policies and measures for reducing energy poverty following the acquis communautaire.

 

Following the study's recommendations on tackling energy poverty in the Energy Community Contracting Parties, published in December 2021, a new center for monitoring and combating energy poverty has been created.

 

The new center to accelerate the eradication of energy poverty

The Director of the Energy Community Secretariat, Artur Lorkowski, has launched the new Centre for Energy Poverty Eradication in the Energy Community Contracting Parties.

The Centre will collect data and information on the causes and effects of energy poverty in the Energy Community Contracting Parties and promote the development of appropriate policies and measures to reduce energy poverty in line with the Community acquis.
