The review covers various topics, such as the legal and policy frameworks, greening of economy. It also assesses Albania`s efforts to integrate environmental considerations into its policies in transport, energy and industry sectors. Aside from this, the review stresses the importance of renewable sources of energy other than hydropower, which represent strategic opportunities for Albania to reduce the country`s dependence on a single source of energy, as well as adopting cleaner solutions for the environment.
